Nutravail Technologies holds patents to an innovative, uncooked soft chew process. This patented delivery system provides a great tasting, chewy and candy-like matrix. Because the uncooked soft chews are processed at temperatures below 45 degrees Celsius, it enjoys several key benefits over a traditional confectionery process, the most obvious being the energy cost savings resulting from the low processing temperatures.
Not so obvious, but more important in the healthy food category, is the ability to work with many functional ingredients that are highly sensitive to heat and, therefore, could not be processed in a typical confectionery matrix.

A soft chew format also provides many key benefits over other delivery systems such as beverages, tablets and capsules. A single soft chew weighing between 5 and 6 grams can be loaded with up to 40% of actives, with the typical range being 5% to 25%. With such a high loading capacity, one soft chew can replace 2 or 3 large tablets or capsules. Additionally, soft chews are better tasting than capsules or tablets and can be taken without water. In this regard, soft chews serve as a great delivery system for children. As compared to beverages, the soft chew provides a faster, easier and more portable means of obtaining today’s functional ingredients.
